Griessner leads PROsport Aston Martin 1-2 in second practice

PROsport Performance drivers David Griessner and Florian Thoma made the most of the changing conditions at Brands Hatch this afternoonto take first and second in the second practice session.
The #18 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 of Akhil Rabindra and Florian Thoma was the first car to get into the 1:32s, on what was still a dry Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.
Lluc Ibanez brought out the red flags when he crashed the #15 NM Racing Team Ginetta G55 GT4, but after the session was restarted conditions began to change and rain hit the circuit.
Before track conditions deteriorated David Griessner in the #19 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 improved the fastest time to 1:32.425, making it a 1-2 for PROsport Competition.
The #31 Selleslagh Racing Team Mercedes and #36 CMR Alpine completed the top four overall and Silver Cup.
Marc Basseng set the pace in the Pro-Am category with the #13 Schwede Motorsport Mercedes, beating Academy Motorsport driver Tom Wood by just 0.009s. Third in Pro-Am was the #111 RN Vision STS BMW of Gabriele Piana.
CMR was fastest in the Am category, with the #48 Alpine lapping the British track faster than the #17 Street Art Racing Aston Martin and the #34 Las Moras by Equipe Verschuur McLaren.
Free Practice 2 ended a few minutes early after the #99 razoon - more than racing KTM went straight and into the barriers at Druids, the driver reported OK.
Qualifying for tomorrow’s races will take place this afternoon at 17.35.
