Gosia Rdest to join GT4 European Series with Phoenix Racing
24 October 2017
Phoenix Racing has confirmed its intention to run in next year’s GT4 European Series by announcing Polish driver Gosia Rdest as the first of its drivers. The German squad, that was involved in the development of the new Audi R8 LMS GT4, is set to enter two cars next season.
By announcing Gosia Rdest, who raced in the Audi Sport TT Cup and TCR Germany in recent years, Phoenix Racing is the first Audi team to reveal a part of its line up for 2018. The 24-year-old from Żyrardów, Poland is already looking forward to the new racing season.
“I'm extremely excited about the upcoming season and all the new things that are going to happen. I feel very honored and lucky to be able to race in such experienced team. I found driving for a team like Phoenix Racing as a big chance for me and my future career,” Rdest said.
Rdest fits the description of drivers that Phoenix Racing team principal Ernst Moser gave, when the team announced its plans to compete in GT4. “We can help developing young and talented drivers and also give gentlemen drivers interesting, new opportunities,” Moser said back in September.
“We are looking forward that Gosia will join our young GT4 team. With our experience from GT1 and GT3 racing in the past we will now forward this knowhow in the future to Gosia and and our other GT4 drivers,” Moser added. “I’m extremely excited about the upcoming season and all new things that are going to happen.”
