Ekris Motorsport reveals new livery for 2017 season
Dutch team Ekris Motorsport revealed an all-new grey, white and orange livery for its Ekris M4 GT4, right before the start of the first round of the 2017 GT4 European Series Northern Cup. The car's livery marks a departure from the orange designs used in GT4 for the past five seasons.
Series' stalwart Van der Ende will start his twelfth season at Ekris Motorport, albeit with a new teammate this season, Max Koebolt. Despite his young age Koebolt has two seasons under his belt in the Blancpain GT Series.
“It goes without saying that the title is our goal for this year, even though we know that this is an ambitious one, given the strong level of competition,” team owner, Dick van Ekris says.
“With Ricardo and Max, we have a driver pairing with a lot of potential and we have improved our Ekris M4 GT4 to make it an even more competitive package, so we are really confident for the upcoming season.”
The two Ekris M4 GT4s used by Ekris Motorsport in 2016 were sold to France, where they will run in the GT4 European Series Southern Cup under the BMW Team France banner.
Ekris Motorsport is working on plans to compete in the GT4 European Series Southern Cup rounds at Pau, Barcelona and Paul Ricard in order to be eligible to fight for the overall GT4 European Series title.
“First of all, our focus is on this weekend’s opening round at Misano, we are really looking forward to go racing again,” Dick van Ekris added.
